1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the MotelX website, or by making a booking with any MotelX location, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. About MotelX
MotelX is a network of independently operated motel properties located across New South Wales, Australia. References to "MotelX," refer to the relevant operating entity for the property you are booking, unless otherwise specified.
3. Bookings
Bookings can be made via our website, by phone, or through third-party booking platforms.
A valid credit/debit card is required to secure most bookings.
Booking confirmations will be sent via email to the address provided at the time of booking.
Rates displayed are per room, per night, in Australian Dollars (AUD), and include GST unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud or booking error.
4. Check-In & Check-Out
Standard check-in time: 3:00 PM. Standard check-out time: 11:00 AM.
Early check-in and late check-out may be available on request, subject to availability, and may incur an additional charge.
Valid photo identification is required at check-in for all guests.
Guests must be 18 years or older to check in and hold a booking; guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
5. Payment
Full or partial payment may be required at the time of booking, depending on the rate type selected.
Remaining balances are payable at check-in or check-out, as specified in your booking confirmation.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS, cash — confirm accepted methods.
Prices are subject to change without notice, but the rate confirmed at the time of booking will be honoured.
6. Cancellations & No-Shows
Cancellation terms vary by rate type and are detailed in full in our separate Cancellation Policy (below), which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
7. Guest Conduct
Guests are expected to treat MotelX staff, property, and other guests with respect. We reserve the right to refuse service, end a stay early, or remove a guest without refund in cases of:
Damage to property
Excessive noise or disruptive behaviour
Illegal activity
Exceeding the maximum occupancy for a room
Non-compliance with our smoke-free policy (see Section 9)
Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused to a room or property during their stay, beyond fair wear and tear.
8. Pets
Pets are welcome only in rooms designated as pet-friendly, and only with prior arrangement. Additional pet fees may apply. Pets must not be left unattended in rooms, and guests are responsible for any damage or additional cleaning required as a result of a pet's stay.
9. Smoke-Free Policy
All MotelX rooms are smoke-free (including e-cigarettes/vaping). A cleaning fee applies if evidence of smoking is found in a room.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, MotelX is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to guests' personal property during their stay. Guests are encouraged to use in-room safes or secure valuables appropriately. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Website Use
Content on the MotelX website is provided for general informational purposes. While we take care to keep information accurate and up to date (including room availability and pricing), we do not guarantee that all content is error-free at all times. All content, branding, and imagery on this website is the property of MotelX and may not be reproduced without permission.
12. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. local attractions, transport providers). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these external sites.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
